Hand embroidered artwork based on Honey Worker Bee on recycled aluminium by Emma Pannell.

The metal material is recycled, aluminium drinks cans. These are cut open, flattened and burned.  After burnishing the inside of the can turns a speckled gold colour.

Designs are embossed and then hammered into the sheet metal and sewn using embroidery silks and wound thread and glass beads.

The series includes butterflies, moths, bees and insects. More are coming soon! These are collectible pieces part of the Metal Bug Series and are made to order.

Each piece comes mounted and with option of white frame.
